WITHDRAWAL OF SERVICE
Policy
The Care Worker Agency & We Care recognises that guidelines need to be in place in the unlikely or indeed infrequent event that a service may need to be withdrawn from a customer for any reason. The company will never consider withdrawing a service unless either or both of the following situations exist:
- It has become unsafe to continue providing the service and/or,
 - There is a long standing and continuing non-payment of accounts.

Given the seriousness of such a situation, only the care manager or director may make the decision to terminate the service.
Procedure
The reasons for withdrawal of service may apply if:
- Continuing to provide care is not viewed as being in the best interests of the customer.
 - Health and Safety regulations are in danger of being breached, putting the customer at risk.
 - Our responsibilities to provide care workers with a safe environment in which to work cannot be maintained.
 - There is any occurrence of physical abuse by the customer or any member of their circle of family or friends against a care worker.
 - There is a threat of physical abuse by the customer or any member of their circle of family or friends against a care worker.
 - Continued verbal intimidation or abuse against a care worker is at a level that is unacceptable.
 - The customer simply runs out of care workers. This may be because the customer continually asks for a different care worker or it may be because the working environment is sufficiently unacceptable or hostile that no care workers are prepared to attend a particular customer.
 - Where accurate invoices remain unpaid longer than the agreed payment period.

Cessation of service will normally receive a four week notice period but the company reserves the right to shorten this period in extreme cases and to ensure the safety and well being of those involved.
